The walk kicked off Saturday morning with several volunteers at McClay Gardens Park to help raise money and awareness about retinal diseases.
Event organizers of the nationally known foundation say it's local residents who are helping make strides towards cures for retinal diseases.
"As we move into this phase of development we're going to need to raise more money around the country. And we're just so proud that Tallahassee is doing its part, said James Minow of the Foundation Fighting Blindness."
Organizers say they hoped to raise 90,000 dollars at today's vision walk.
