A V.S.U. student-run organization, known as S.U.R.G.E., which stands for Students United for Real Gender Equality, set up shop by West Hall today to promote "Love Your Body Week."
Students came by to get pamphlets and talk with club leaders about issues surrounding women, gender and sexuality.
Students say the group has an important mission.
"There's no excuse for gender discrimination because God made everyone equal," said Damazio Odusanya, a student at Valdosta State University.
"There's a lot of stereotypes out there about either the opposite sex or people who are transgender," said another student, Jordan Hairston.
SURGE holds their meetings every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Odum Library, Room 1480.

That's why he created us with FREE WILL. He gave us the choice to do what is right or wrong. Without free will then it's a pretty boring planet
God did not make everyone equal, nor did he make them "transgender" or "gay", etc. God made Eve as a helpmate to Adam. Feminist have helped to destroy this world. And I am female. OH, you do have the equal right to burn in hell.
