Franklin County schools are closed tomorrow, though no other counties have decided to close yet.
Few boaters were out on the water in Panacea on Monday. The gloomy skies and whipping wind kept many folks ashore. Wakulla County Emergency Management officials say crews are on standby monitoring the storm.
"As this thing progresses it is trending with less and less of an impact on us, but obviously that's all predictions so until it's on us and through us we certainly can't let our guard down," said Scott Nelson, the Wakulla County Emergency Management Director.
Residents are urged to protect their property, especially those living in low-lying areas. Sandbags are available upon request at the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office.
