A familiar face in the Gadsden County Courthouse will sit on the county bench for the last time Friday November 13Th.

Judge Stewart Parsons has been in Gadsden County since 2001 and now, just before his 70Th birthday, he is retiring.

But don't expect him to hang up his robe for good, Parsons will be filling in for judges in Leon county while they are absent during trial.

He says he's excited to spend more time with family and has truly enjoyed serving the people of Gadsden County.

"You're able to help people out, sometimes you don't help people and you have to do things that are not pleasant but for the most part you have this wonderful relationship with the county and with it's people, and I've just loved it," said Stewart Parsons, retiring Gadsden County judge.

Parsons is being replaced by Kathy Garner. A retirement party is being held at the Gadsden County Courthouse at three o'clock in the afternoon on Friday November, 13Th.
