The military is asking kids to be all they can be on and off school grounds, avoiding a life of drugs and crime.
Three large screens display stories to capture the attention of middle schoolers in Havana. The message is clear: stay on track, avoid drugs and destructive behavior.
The military teamed up with a motivational company to bring "Freedom Calls," stories about good choices, courage and determination.
CAPT Arthur Gaines said, "If you choose to use drugs, that's something that will definitely, that's one choice you can make in the 6th grade, 7th grade, 8th grade. Any time you make that you could affect you for the rest of your life and if they dream they can dream big. There's not much they cannot do."
Freedom Calls is a prelude to another program that will be implemented at some Gadsden County schools next week.
