A memorial service for Naval Petty Officer Adam McSween will be held Saturday the 21st at the Central Avenue Church of Christ in Valdosta.
McSween was killed in northern Iraq on April 6. He grew up in Valdosta. He leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
"This is a chance for a lot of people who had not met Adam's wife to be able to meet his wife Erin and be able to share with her a lot of the memories that they had grown up with Adam, both here at this building and at school," said Pastor John Kilimko, Jr.
McSween was a member of an explosives ordinance unit. He was 26 years old.
