Power outages are being reported along Capital Circle NE and along most of Tharpe Street.

A large oak tree fell down near the intersection of Tram Road and Chancey. The Tallahassee Fire Department is on the scene. No cars are able to pass through on Tram Road at this time.

The Wakulla County Sheriff's Department is also reporting a tree down near the intersection of Shadeville Highway and Ridgeway Court. The tree knocked down live power lines and repair crews are currently on the scene.

TPD says the high winds are to blame as trees continue falling on power lines.

Police says many stoplights are also out of service. Police are asking drivers to treat all stoplights as four way stops and be extremely careful driving in the windy conditions.

TPD says as many as 10,000 people were without power, but at last report that figure was down to about 600.
