Comment on Today's Poll

I agree with Ann. They need to do a better job. Hire a vet instead of their cousin! My husband has also been trying to get on with the state. Has been unemployed over a year, gets to interview then nothing!!! Something wrong here----Veterans Preference??? The vet should get the job over anyone!!
That's great. So why isn't Florida state government doing a better job of hiring vets? I have a friend who is a 20 year vet of the armed services who has been trying to get a state job for three years. He has degrees, good references, and a clean record. But he gets to the second interview and then- nothing. Could it be that the State of Florida is engaging in age discrimination, Governor? And, no, he is not getting rejection letters from People First. He hears nothing. So what is going on?
Hmm...wonder how many Vet's the governor has working for him.
