Bonifay Police are searching for the owners of stolen property.
A resident found the items in a wooded area behind his apartment complex.
About 25 bicycles, two lawnmowers, two TV's, an ironing board and many other items sitting in a storage unit now.
A resident at the Foxrun Apartment Complex in Bonifay found all of it two weeks ago.
"I was just walking around and I seen something shining and I said 'well, that looks like an air compressor. I said, I'm gonna check that out.' I walked on down there and sure enough it was and I began to see other stuff down there," said William Steverson.
Bonifay Police Chief, Chris Wells said "We recovered a fairly nice, fairly new air compressor, a stand-up, upright battery charger with wheels. Those are the two big electrical items."
Chief Wells says they also found bicycle parts like "tires, chains, sprockets."
As well as some odds-and-end furniture pieces like a wheelbarrow.
Bonifay Police say no one seems to know who put the stolen items there.
"We haven't been able to find any witnesses, we canvassed the neighborhood, talked with several people.."
But so far no one was come forward with any information. Wells doesn't believe the stolen property has been there very long.
"There was no spiderwebs, no buildup of leaves or anything. It was just there,"said Wells.
He also says no one in the city or Holmes County has filed a theft report to match the list of items.
"Crime knows no boundaries when it comes to stuff like this so we have contacted neighboring agencies, contacted Graceville PD, Chipley PD, Washington SO, Jackson SO, but so far we haven't had any luck."

native,WCTV does not know if these were stolen or not. They said that the Bonifay Police said they were looking for the owners of the stolen property. What is so hard about that? They are reporters that just report what is reported to them. They are not the investigators.Did it ever occur to you that the police didn't say anything to WCTV about any serial numbers being removed? Are they supposed to just make something up?Some people are just so stupid.
How was it determined that these contents were stolen? Your story said nothing about police finding model or serial numbers scratched off or removed. What if this stuff was put there by someones neighbor who had to recently move out of his foreclosed home? As far as theft - check with local storage businesses. The list of items sounds like what someone would have had in a rental storage unit due to the fact it appeared clean.
