House and Senate Lawyers Suggest Smaller Settlement in Anderson Case

Governor Charlie Crist disagrees with report and says he supports a $5 million payment for the Department of Juvenile Justice's negligence in January 2006 suffocation death of the Panama City teen.

The report, released Friday, is a recommendation to lawmakers who are considering a claims bill to compensate Anderson's family. The Legislature is not bound by the recommendation as it debates the bill in the final two weeks of the session.
