Local residents gathered at the Leon County Health Department to make sure their neighborhoods have a plan in place if influenza hits.
Student nurses joined the open forum, discussing health care options, recovery and response.
Participants also received different life saving tools to bring back to their neighborhoods.
Amy Datz attended the event and said, "The goal is to go back to your neighborhood and inform them of the plan in place and begin figuring out who is going to do what."
The Leon County Division of Emergency Management, along with several other local emergency response agencies, was on hand to help participants in the activities.
