A Tallahassee man accused of assaulting a DCF employee at gunpoint was sentenced to 20 years in prison Monday.

Kendrick Porter was found guilty of assaulting DCF employee Hannah Strauss at gunpoint in July 2008.

Strauss testified that when she went to take Porter's two month old baby boy into protective custody, Porter wound up pushing her and the baby to the floor and then putting a gun to her head.

Porter's attorney contends Strauss didn't have the authority to take the child from the home and that Porter was legally defending his child and family.

CPS is the biggest money maker the state's have going. Often, without a warrant (which requires actual evidence of a crime), & because of an anonymous complaint (often by someone with a grudge), CPS can come in and abduct children. Think about it; why are we allowing this agency to work outside of our US Constitution? Human beings have never been able to handle this much unbridled, unchecked power which is why we have our laws. CPS has immunity from prosecution out the ying-yang, is rewarded monitarily for removing children &/or providing coerced "services" (or we'll take your child). This agency is a recipe for disaster! Any real cases of abuse often go unnoticed because of all the other innocent children/parents being persecuted by CPS. CPS is a disgrace to the true spirit of freedom and America. Imagine how you would react to someone illegally abducting YOUR child. Wake up people before it's too late.

Come to my house - Accuse me of something falsely with no evidence, and attempt to take my baby. *BOOM* - << shovel shovel shovel >> ... Problem FIXED.

Concerned Parent: I agree! I was investigated because a co-worker reported that myself and my husband were using drugs. DCF came into our home and trated us like criminals because someone who was upset that I got a promtoion and she didn't decided to make a phone call. DCF was relentless until the drug tests came back clean and then they wanted to drag their feet in getting us the information we needed in order to file a complaint with the Sheriff's department against the person who filed the false report. I in NO WAY condone putting a gun to someone's head, please don't get me wrong, but DCF needs a major cleanup in policies and staff.
