The property located at Gaines Street and Railroad Avenue is on the market.
The city says the property has strategic value for future development plans. The cost is estimated at more than $1 million.
"Gaines Street is going to be a very important component for the redevelopment effort for Tallahassee. That piece of property is very strategic to the overall redevelopment,” says Michael Parker, Director of Economic Development.
The property is adjacent to a city owned lot on Madison Street. The city says this could add value to the property.
Plans are still in the works for the new lot.
