Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Looking for Missing Man
Allen Tyson was last seen walking away from his residence in Monticello.

FROM THE JEFFERSON CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE:
On the afternoon of 11/22/2009 Allen Tyson Jr. walked away from his residence on Blue Bird Lane in Monticello, FL.
Mr. Tyson is described as a B/M, aged 77 yrs (Born 07/05/1932). He is approximately 5'10", with a thin build, black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue jacket and blue pants, with a blue NY Mets ball cap. One pants leg was shorter than the other.
Mr. Tyson was last seen by family members as he walked east on Hwy 90 W, toward Monticello.
The family reported him missing on the afternoon of 11/23/2009, after he failed to return home. Family members report that Mr. Tyson suffers from dementia and has congestive heart failure.
He is considered by the Jefferson Co. Sheriff’s Office to be at risk from a health stand point and has been listed as missing and endangered in the FCIC/NCIC system.

If I am not mistaken I saw this gentleman walking on 90 yesterday at about 3:15 p.m. I remember seeing him and thinking it didn't seem right for him to be out there, but many people walk on that road. He had his thumb up trying to catch a ride. I came back by at about 4:15 and he was walking west toward Monticello. I don't know if it was the person they are talking about here, but I did see a gentleman that seems to fit this description.
