Madison County Man Arrested For Aggravated Battery With A Machete
Madison County Sheriff's deputies say Rufus Jones was arrested after he attacked a man with a machete.

MCSO News Release:

Madison County Sheriff Ben Stewart reports that on Friday November 21,at approximately 3:30p.m, Madison County Sheriff's Office patrol units responded to the H & R Grocery in Greenville Florida concerning an aggravated battery complaint. Deputy Tim Nagy was the assigned and first responding Deputy.

Upon arrival, Deputy Nagy observed the complainant bleeding profusely from his head, ears and arms. Deputy Nagy’s preliminary investigation and witness statements determined that the complainant was arguing with Rufus Jones concerning some personal matters and Rufus Jones attacked the complainant with a machete.

An immediate search for Rufus Jones was initiated and Jones later turned himself in at the Madison County Jail.

Rufus Jones of Greenville, Florida, was arrested and charged with Aggravated battery with great bodily harm.
