One Tank Trips: Seminole State Park

If you looking for the perfect summer vacation, but the high cost of gas is keeping you from traveling far, we have a solution. I've been traveling to various local hot spots in search of a vacation that you can make on one tank of gas.

On this One Tank Trip, we take you to Seminole State Park in Georgia. If you're looking for a getaway from life’s hustle and bustle, we've got just the place for you.

Listen and what do you hear? Nothing but the serene sound of nature. That's the only noise you'll hear at Seminole State Park, and the occasional boat or jet ski.

Elaine Keane has traveled extensively across the United States, camping at various parks, but this is her first trip to Seminole State Park.

"It's very scenic, it's well organized, well taken care of, the people are nice, both the staff and the campers," says Elaine.

At this park there's a little bit of everything for the outdoors type, and if your planning an overnight trip, but camping in a tent is too outdoorsy for you, you can rent a cabin on the shore, satellite dish included.

Erin Lancaster and her friends have looked to Lake Seminole for cooling off since they were children.

"There's not a lot of people out here so that's nice, so you don't have to worry about being crowded or bothered. It's really peaceful out here and that's really nice," says Erin.

Amanda Cloud, who frequents the park, says, “It's clean, you can see the bottom, it ain't dirty. You don't have to worry about what's under your feet."

And although Keane lives several hours away, she says this park is one to remember.
