A Leon County judge set bond at $100,00 for 31-year old Wilmaer Lopez, 25-year-old Maikel Zamora, and 66-year old Wilfredo Lopez.

A fourth suspect, Andeslay Rodriquez did not appear because of medical issues but he received the same bond.

Police arrested the men Friday, after Leon County deputies searched two homes in Killearn Acres and found more than 250 marijuana plants and 55 pounds of loose marijuana.

The estimated street value is more than 2.5 million dollars.

The suspects face several charges including trafficking and producing marijuana and keeping dangerous drugs in the house.

These guys should be given awards for creating and supporting a local economy. Instead, they are treated as the worst of criminals. Note that the illustrious Sheriff Harvey did not have to pay any bond, and got a slap on the wrist for hit and run - in a law enforcement vehicle. Marijuana is not a gateway drug any more than cigarettes or alcohol - two drugs that are far worse - and that kill tens of thousands annually. How many die from marijuana use? - excluding those shot by cops or drug dealers - who, btw, would not be making the $$ they make if this plant were legal. Once again, our politicians (who write the laws) have their heads up their collective anus when it comes to this. Legalize it and tax it, you fools!
