Tallahassee police are investigating a robbery at a local fast food restaurant.
Officials say a man entered the Burger King at 1060 West Tennessee Street and ordered a croissant. Police say after ordering his meal he demanded the clerk open the register. The clerk asked the robber, “what for” and he replied, "This is a robbery."
“The clerk did open the register and thought the subject had some sort of weapon, he grabbed the money and ran out the door," said Detective Todd Lombardo with the Tallahassee Police Department’s Robbery Task Force.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 40s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 170 pounds.
