Residents in Perry are bringing the Christmas story to life through a live nativity scene.

The entire community is invited to New Home Baptist Church in Perry to see the bright star in the sky and the three wise men below in the stable surrounding the manger.

There will also be live animals to complete the scene.

Church member Ola Mae Grubbs said, "We are really loving putting it on. It's a blessing; and I think it would be a blessing to everyone if they come out. And we just wanted to bring back the real meaning of Christmas."

The live nativity this Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again at the same time next Monday, Dec. 21.

New Home Baptist is located at 405 East Hampton Springs Avenue in Perry.

It is refreshing to see the true meaning of Christmas shared and have someone report something positive for a change. Thanks New Home for your hard work and Thanks Lanetra for reporting something encouraging at Christmas.
