Robbery Suspect Arrested
Tallahassee Police have arrested Joshua Wesson for two separate robberies.

Monday morning at approximately 4:45AM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to a reported robbery at 5500 Thomasville Road (Wal-Mart).

Upon arrival, the victim explained he was walking through the parking lot on his way to work when he was robbed. The victim told officers that a suspect approached him, implied he had a gun and demanded money from the victim. The victim complied with the demand and was not injured during the robbery. The victim described the suspect as a white male, 19-25 years of age, approximately 5’11”, wearing a blue shirt. The suspect was last seen driving a blue Toyota SUV.

Officer Aaron Scott observed a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description near the 3500 Block of Thomasville Road approximately an hour after the robbery. Officer Scott attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, but the vehicle fled at a high rate of speed eluding officers.

Monday morning, at approximately 10:15AM, the Tallahassee Police Department responded to another reported robbery at 3430 Thomasville Road (Bank of America). Upon arrival, the 89-year-old victim explained that a suspect attempted to grab his cash as the victim completed an ATM transaction. A short time later, Officer Brittany Able located the suspect at 1491 Timberlane Road (Circle K). Officer Able, other TPD officers, and Deputy Andy Dawson from the Leon County Sheriff’s Office attempted to take the suspect into custody. The suspect attempted to flee and resist the officers. Deputy Dawson utilized a taser to subdue the suspect.

Joshua Wesson, White male, 10/13/85. Charges: Robbery (Wal-Mart), Robbery by Sudden Snatching (@ ATM), and Resisting Without Violence.
