A man convicted of robbing and killing a Tallahassee Police informant has just filed an appeal.

Deneilo Bradshaw was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison last month for the murder of TPD informant Rachel Hoffman.

Hoffman was killed in a botched drug sting back in May 2008.

About an hour ago, one of Bradshaw's attorneys filed a notice to appeal with the cirucit clerk, who will then forward the case to the First District Court of Appeals.

The notice also asks the court to appoint a a new public defender to handle the appeal.

Bradshaw's co-defendant, Andrea Green, has yet to go to trial for the robbery and murder and a wrongful death suit filed by the Hoffman family against the City of Tallahassee is pending too.

I understand the parents lost their daughter in this situation, but trying to get money from the city just shows that they have no shame. My parents would not show their face in my defense if I were a drug dealer. The would quietly sit at home and wonder what they had done wrong in raising me.

Great- now the taxpayers, you & I, can fork out even more money to prosecute this scumbag again, AND pay her parents when they win the lawsuit. Just who do they think they'll be getting the money from anyway? The PD? Guess what Mom & Dad? That money will come out of our paychecks in the form of taxes. If you take more than an acknowledgemnt of wrong-doing then you're no better than the common thief, stealing from innocent, law-abiding, working people. Lets see how you handle this. I'll save my opinion and see how this plays out. I certainly hope you do the right thing for the citizens of Leon County.
