Just a few days ago, technology librarian Cliff Landis made a video to post online and send to friends.
His goal was to have people donate as much money as possible to the organization Partners in Health.
He said he'd put up his savings to match the donations made this month.
In just three days, people have already donated more than $11,000.
Landis said, "When I saw the devastation there I just knew I had to donate. "It's most of my savings. I won't have very much left after this. I do save a little bit every month so I don't think it'll take but a few years to rebuild."
The organization Partners in Health has been doing work in Haiti for the past 20 years.
