A German woman accused of drowning her own grandson in the bathtub will go in front of the judge Monday.

Her husband says she didn't want him growing up with divorced parents.

Marianne Bordt's attorney cited pre-trial publicity and asked a judge to close Monday's court hearing, seal pre-trial evidence in the case, and issue a gag order.

The judge refused to close the hearing, but will take up the gag order and evidence request in less than an hour.

We'll have live coverage tonight on Eyewitness News.

Luv Struck one more thing- It is not just the father, It the deadbeat husband who ran out on his wife and left the tax payers to foot the bill for her lawyer and It is the father lawyer who came in to this case under the disguise of a “Family Friend” when the reality is he was the divorce attorney that assisted the father is the disillusion of his marriage. If there is one person that is not a friend of a family unit, it is the divorced attorney who assisted in the disillusion of the marriage. He was in the Divorce for the Father’s interest and he is in this case for the Fathers interest.

What if the grandmother is innocent?

CD, you don't leave your son's beloved 71 year old grandmother in jail without hiring her an attorney. Do you think the Camden would want that? As a painful as it is, you hire an attorney. You don't leave that responsibility to the tax payers of that community. You do the right thing and you hire an attorney for her. You are not doing it just for her you are doing it for Camden and the ones he left behind.

I know the father very well, he loved his son with all of his heart. Any body who even thinks that he could kill his own son is crazy. Camden was his whole life. I see the father everyday grieving over his son. Please stop wanting to put the blame on a innocent father, and pray for the Hiers Family. Everyone in the family is really having a hard time accepting the fact that Camden is gone.

Another thing that does not add up. Reportedly, she had her coat on when she got wet. You wear your coat in frezzing weather because you don't want to be cold. Right? If you are concerned about being cold, would you walk out into a Frezzing cold Ocean? That doesn't make any sense. Why wear the coat? I mean a lot of what Mr Bordt is reported to have said happen just does not add up. I think there is more to this story, I really wish Franklin County Sherrifs office had hired a German Interperter so they could have done a more thorough investigation.

I think someone planning to frame Mrs Bordt for this would safely assume the law enforcement in that community vs Atlanta, would have limited resouces to investigate a murder case where one of the accused only spoke German. Franklin county in my opinion needed to hire a German interperter to complete the investigation. Assumingly they either did not have the money to do that or they did not want spend the money so they put her off Leon County, Which understandibly pbly did not feel the finacial burden of hiring a German spking interperter should be thiers. In my opinion,This Investigation was not complete.I feel the arresting County should have conducted the investigation with a German interperter and assumingly they did not.

GV in addressing your statement where you state "the son in Law is not going to hire a lawyer to defend a women accussed of killing his son" I have to ask you then why did he hire a lawyer to to defend a man, Mr Bordt who could have just as easily killed the son. My thinking is he did so because he conspired with Mr Bordt to kill the child and frame Mrs Bordt for it. I think the posibility of finacial trouble should have been looked into. Money a much more believable motive for murder...And anyone planning to do this to Mrs Bordt would absoloutly know, the langage barrier in this community would hender her defense and if she is verbally and finacially dependent on her husband to have a lawyer hired she is in a real pickle if he did this and wants her to take the fall for it. All he has to do is tell his version and then not hire legal counsel for her. What can she do? She in prision. No job no money. Completly finacially and verbally dependent on the other possible suspect.

How did she get wet? Mr Bordt claims in an attempt to kill herself, she walked out to the beach, in record low, freezing tempetures, fully dressed, wearing a coat and entered the water, with waves crashing and somehow managed only to get her neck and lower body wet and then Mr bordt claim she decided not to kill herself so she walked back home and all of this occured in the middled of the afternoon on a public beach(google 641 Gorrie Drive)surrounded by houses with panoramic views and NO ONE BUT MR BORDT saw any of it and she had amazingly had no reported hypothermia. COME ON!!! Don't you guys remember how cold it was? Do you find this believable? For all we no Mr Bordt could have just as easily thrown a bucket of water on her and made this story up, because keep in Mind the arresting officer has an admitted language Barrier issue with the accused and can not understand a word she speaks. He can only understand Mr. Bordt. So it only Mr Bordt version of events that he take down.

Listen, they had 2 reported suspects. Mr Bordt and Mrs. Bordt. Attorneys are needed. Mr Hiers hires and attorney and it clearly not for Mrs. Bordt, I think it is reasonable to assume there is a possibily that Mr Hiers hired that attorney for Mr Bordt and if he did I think it would be reasonable to assume that they were conspiring together.

Child support is offten the motive in a murder case where the Murder child comes from a divorced home. Isn't that a much more believable motiver here? How do you know those 3 men did not set her up? We are in extreamly economically hard times some say much like we were before the Great Depression. It reasonalble to assume the finacial burden of child support might be an issue. It is reasonable to expect that avenue should have been investigated? But nothing is seen by me in the media indicating that it was? AND the media has fought and one the right to print all the details of the investigation.
