Playing with animals and honking horns gave some students a hands-on approach to picking a career.
On February 11, Hahira Middle School students got up close and personal with professions like animal wrangling, cosmetology, and commercial truck driving.
Georgia state representative Amy Carter even took a break from business in Atlanta to tell kids about government and politics.
The event organizer, Holli Griffis, let students chose from 42 speakers to create their own schedules to explore their fields of interest.
Representatives from Valdosta State University, Wild Adventures Theme Park and Valdosta Tech were among the 42 presenters.
Many of the speakers were parents of the students.
