With it being the peak of flu season, The Leon County Health Department continues to hold H1N1 vaccine clinics.
Officials say its better to be safe than sorry.
They say unlike the seasonal flu, H1N1 does not peak at certain times of the year.
This means it is advised that people continue to get vaccinated for both the swine flu and the seasonal flu.
"There's nothing to say that its not still out there, or that there will be a third wave, we don't know that, but we want to be prepared, and we want to be able to give the vaccines to those who still want it," says Homer Rice, Administrator with the Leon County Health Department.
Rice says they will continue to watch the behavior of the h1n1 flu to see if it dies down, but they don't believe it's going away anytime soon.
Next years seasonal flu vaccine will contain the antibodies for h1n1.
The Leon County Health Department will have h1n1 vaccine clinics:
Wednesday March 3, 1:00pm-4:30pm at the Health Department
Thursday March 4, 1:00pm-4:30pm at the Health Department
