-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Around 5:30 a.m. on Sunday, the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office says a man robbed the Waffle House at 3487 Madison Highway in Valdosta at gunpoint.

They say the suspect, 19-year old Jesse Mainor left with some cash, and witnesses saw 17-year old Saradawn Wood follow him in another car.

Lowndes County deputies saw both traveling northbound on I-75 around exit 13.

They say Mainor exited the interstate at exit 29.

Wood continued northbound, where she was stopped around the 30 mile mark on I-75.

Mainor continued to elude Lowndes and Cook County law enforcement on county roads before getting back on the interstate.

While traveling southbound, he spun out and hit a Lowndes deputy head on while on a ramp at exit 32.

No serious injuries were reported.

Both are now in custody.

Wood was identified as a runaway minor from Alabama and Mainor is a suspect in a Florida burglary.
