Four different dogs with one task at hand... find out if the allegations are true that there are old graves under a church basketball court.

It didn't take long for the dogs to pick up a scent. One by one the cadaver dogs alerted to four different grave locations.

Wesley Basey is with the South Georgia Search Dogs, "If you want to say positively they're going to have to come out with a forensic group and do some digging and make sure something is there or not there."

Allegations arose weeks ago that Summerhill Baptist Church was building a basketball court on top of old slave graves.

The Thomas County Sheriff's Office called in South Georgia Search Dogs to assist in the investigation, "We bring out the natural instinct of training", says Brigitte Basey. "We train them from puppy on. At 8 weeks old we start them on the odor of teeth and old bones."

The pastor at Summerhill Baptist Church says he was unaware of the graves but declined to go on camera. We're told he has been cooperative with investigators and has halted construction on the basketball court.

It is still unclear what the next step will be, but we are told it is against the law to knowingly disturb a grave sight.
