Drug Bust In Holmes County

On 3/25/10 deputies with the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office along with Special Agents from The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (BATF) agents, troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol Contraband Interdiction Team (FHP), officers from the Florida Wildlife Conservation (FWC), and Holmes Correctional K-9 teams executed a search warrant at 1050 Hwy 163 located in the New Hope Community of Holmes County. During the execution of the warrant approximately 1.7 pounds of methamphetamine (ice), with a street value of approximately $30,000, was located along with a large amount of US Currency and several firearms. The owner of the residence W/M, Herdis Neal Brown, 49 YOA,was arrested and faces charges of trafficking in meth over 200 grams, possession of firearm while commission of a felony, possession of marijuana -20 grams, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Sheriff Brown would like to thank all of the agencies involved for their help in this case.
