EEE Kills Horse in Lowndes County

The infected horse died in south Lowndes County and that has health officials concerned because EEE can be passed on to humans.

One Valdosta girl was infected last summer and is now confined to a wheel chair. Mosquito spraying efforts are underway in Lowndes County to help stop the possible spread of the virus.

South Georgia health officials say this serves as a reminder to cover up or wear mosquito repellant if you're going outside.
