TRINITY, Fla. (AP) -- A 90-year-old is recovering after a man walking by his Pasco County home spotting him waving from the car parked in the garage, where he'd been stuck for three days because of a broken hip and wrist.
The Tampa Bay Times reports Justyn "Jay" Ambrozia had fallen in a supermarket on April 30. Employees helped him to his car and he managed to drive home, despite shooting pains in his leg.
Ambrozia couldn't open the car door because of his wrist injury. He used the remote to open and close the garage door, but no one saw him. He nibbled on Fig Newtons and pound cake inside the car.
Tim Weidman saw Ambrozia's hand waving as he walked by on Thursday afternoon and called.
