Summer vacation ends in just a week for Leon County students, and organizations throughout the community are pitching in to help get the year off to a successful start.

The Faith Christian Family Center in Tallahassee is helping parents and students with free book bags, school supplies and even clothes.

Residents also had the opportunity to get a sneak peak at their Family Resource Center which opens in October.

Gloria Gallon from the Faith Family Resource Center said, "We want to make sure our families stay healthy, we want to make sure they have the resources they need and get them to the point as to where they can be strong and strengthen that family bond."

The center will offer residents free financial guidance, medical and legal assistance, along with marriage and family counseling.
