Tallahassee Man Holds Ex-Girlfriend at Gunpoint

Twenty-five-year-old Brandon Herpurn is accused of abducting his ex-girlfriend at gunpoint as neighbors watched.

When a woman returned to her High Road apartment Wednesday night she found her ex-boyfriend inside and an argument quickly escalated to much more.

Stewart Clendinen, TPD spokesman, said, "She was confronted by an ex-boyfriend who kidnapped her at gunpoint and took off in his vehicle."

According to arrest records, there were several witnesses who watched it all unfold. They say Hepburn even pointed the gun at them and threatened to shoot.

About an hour and a half later, an officer spotted Hepburn's silver Jeep Cherokee in the back parking lot of the Red Roof Inn.

Hepburn now faces armed kidnapping and assault charges as well as weapons charges. He has spent time in prison for robbery and court records show he was out on bond for counterfeiting and bank fraud when this happened.

Police say the woman was shaken up, but not hurt in the ordeal. Hepburn will make his first court appearance Friday.
