Tourism numbers are up.
Gov. Jeb Bush says the number of visitors to Florida climbed 3.8 percent in the second quarter of 2004 compared with a year earlier.
From April through June, some 18.5 million people visited Florida.
Bush calls the statistics “excellent economic news” made even better by the fact that 2003 was a record year for Florida tourism.
Tourism generated nearly $20.2 billion in taxable sales from January through April. That's up nearly 15 percent from the same period in 2003.
