A group of FSU students traveled to Pensacola Wednesday to petition a U.S. senator for jobs in a clean energy economy.
The group brought their resumes and cover letters to Senator George LeMieux's office, because they want him to know that there are students who are willing and able to work in the green jobs task force.
They're hoping that other students will catch on to their movement, petition their senators and possibly reverse the trend of unemployment among college graduates.
"Students dropping off cover letters and resumes, dropping off petitions is nothing new, but if it's out in the media if people are seeing what were doing, maybe people will actually think, hey there's actually a big movement going on, we need our senators to do something, and we're hoping that not juyst us students, but everybody else starts pushing, explains Alex Saunders, campus coordinator for Repower America.
The students handed over more than 300 resumes and cover letters.

If they didn't also bring a large trash bag full of cash they won't get a politician's attention any longer than it takes to smile, shake hands and get a picture taken. Politicians are crooks, they just don't wear a mask and use a gun. And the sad thing is that their own kind do the judging, look what's going on in Congress right now with Rangle. If we didn't pay our taxes the IRS would come and lock our doors. He gets to cut a deal and stay in office and the good people of the United States can't do a single thing about it. Vote them out people, every single one of them - vote them out of office.
