Budweiser and yellow cab are joining forces to strop drunk people from getting behind the wheel this holiday season.

The "safe ride" program is available at bars and restaurants in Leon County.

Here's how it works:

If you need a ride, then the manager, or owner of the participating establishment can call yellow cab for a safe ride.

This can happen from 8pm to 3am.

The program started Thanksgiving and will go through New Year's day.

Tri-eagle Sales and Yellow Cab are picking up these cab fares.

AAA Release - AAA & Bud Light Protect Motorists Thanksgiving Weekend: Tow to Go provides safe rides home to intoxicated drivers November 22 - 25

Tampa, FL - November 19, 2012 - AAA and Bud Light will help protect motorists on Thanksgiving weekend with the Tow to Go program. The Auto Club Group has provided Tow to Go service for more than fourteen years, because it allows AAA to protect the freedom and mobility of motorists on our roadways. The program's mission is to discourage an intoxicated driver from getting behind the wheel and risking the lives and safety of other motorists.

"The busiest time for the Tow to Go program is during the upcoming holiday season when more than 70 percent of the call volume is received," said Gerry Gutowski, Sr. Vice President, Automotive Services, The Auto Club Group. "This program is invaluable because it brings attention to the dangers of drinking and driving beyond just giving an intoxicated driver a safe ride home."
