Tallahassee, FL - Amendment 4 would limit property tax increases on businesses and beach houses (non-homestead) to 5% a year instead of 10. It stops your taxes from going up on homestead property when your value goes down, and it gives first time homebuyers a 5 year break. Business is supporting the break, cities and counties are worried about the impact on local government funding.
