David Burney is spending part of his Memorial Day out walking off some of the pounds from a barbeque. He's an army vet and lives in Tallahassee.
"We [are] just trying to walk off some of the food we ate today and enjoy some of the festivities you know," Burney said.
Many people like Burney are celebrating this day honoring those who have served the U.S. and AAA has a message for people out having a good time. Don't drink and drive.
AAA's Tow to Go program has been in place since 1998 and officials said it has prevented 20,000 intoxicated drivers from hitting the roads.
The service is available in Florida and Georgia, eligible for both members and non-members, and free.
"It'll provide a service that if you're intoxicated, you can still enjoy, you know, your good times, then have that designated driver," Burney added.
The AAA tow truck will take you and your car to a safe location within a ten mile radius.
