Flipped RV Slows Traffic on I-10 [SLIDE SHOW]

Monticello, FL - Joseph Califf, 32, of Macon, GA was traveling west on Interstate 10 (SR8) in a Semi in the outside lane.

John Vance, 37, of Franklin, LA was also traveling west on Interstate 10 (SR8) towing a trailer on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee in the outside lane in front of the Semi, with passenger, Paula Vance, 29, also of Franklin, LA.

Both vehicles topped the hill.

A road crew truck with a directional arrow indicating to move over to the inside lane was stationed in the outside/paved north shoulder.

The Cherokee was slowing due to traffic when the Semi collided with the right rear of the trailer causing the Semi’s trailer to jack knife.

The Cherokee and the trailer rotated ½ turn in a counter clockwise direction and overturned onto its right side.

The Cherokee and trailer came to final rest on its right side facing southeast.

The Semi came to final rest on the north paved shoulder facing west.

No injuries were reported in the collision.

Monticello, FL - The road is now open and traffic is moving slowly.
