[UPDATE] Afternoon Accident Kills at Least One on I-10

Madison County, FL - December 8, 2012 [UPDATE AT 6:36 p.m.]

Daniel G.Moses, 39, of Van Buren, AR has been identified as the victim of fatal semi-tractor trailer crash in Madison County this afternoon.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, Moses, the driver of the semi-tractor trailer, was traveling eastbound on the mile marker 238,
For unknown reasons, the semi left the eastbound lanes of traffic.

The semi traveled through the median and crossed both westbound lanes of traffic.

The semi continued traveling in a northeastern direction failing to stop before the front the semi impacted a large pine
tree.

All debris from the crash was located on the north shoulder of the roadway.

Madison County Sheriff's Office, Emergency Management Services and Fire & Rescue assisted on scene

A crash in Madison County leaves at least one person dead.

It happened along I-10 westbound by mile marker 238 in Greenville around 1 p.m. Saturday.

A commercial semi-truck went off the side of the highway and into the woods.

None of the lanes are blocked.

The Florida Highway Patrol has not identified the person killed or said if anyone else was hurt.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
