Tallahassee, FL - A new. annual award has honored advocates for behavioral health care in theTallahassee and Big Bend community.
Apalachee Center has created the Community Hero Awards to promote awareness for behavioral health care needs.
Tuesday, the center honored Senator Bill Montford, and State Representatives Marti Coley and Alan Williams.
Rep. Williams says, "To continue the work on their behalf just like we do every day for all of the citizens, not only of District 8, but, really of all citizens of the State of Florida. To receive this award, I'm honored and proud."
Apalachee Center has served those dealing with emotional, psychiatric and substance abuse crisis for more than 50 years.
