Tallahassee, FL - The Apalachicola National Forest unveiled a new recreational site in Leon County. The new Springhill Motorcycle Trailhead is now open to the public. The trail offers more than 100 miles of trail riding as well as chance for riders to get out into nature and see wildlife. Forest service engineers designed the trail to include spacious parking for visitors with trailers to offload motorcycles. To get to the trail from Tallahassee you would head south on Springhill Road from Capital Circle SW. From there you would drive approximately three miles then turn right onto Springhill Motorcycle Trailhead. "Sure a lot has been invested in here, we've spent time about a year in developing this site and we look forward for users from all ages to come out and enjoy," Chandra Roberts who is the Apalachicola National Forest Recreation Program Manager.
The Trailhead was made possible by a grant through the Department of Environmental Protection Agency Greenways and Trails.
