No Joke...It's April Fools' Day!

UNDATED (AP) -- If you hear something unusual today, you may want to take it with a grain of salt. Remember, it's April Fools' Day, and there are always pranksters, setting people up for a joke.

It's become a tradition for some of the big online companies, like Google and YouTube, to spoof their users.

Last year, on April 1st, then-presidential contender Mitt Romney was fooled by his staff. They'd prepped him for a speech at a pancake brunch with supporters in Wisconsin. But, when his running-mate Paul Ryan finished with the big introduction and it was his cue to enter the room, Romney found no one else was there, and Ryan was helping with the gag.

At spring training last year, Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright thought it was great that a fan was about to win a new vehicle, until he saw that it was his white pickup truck being driven onto the field. Two teammates pulled off that prank and had the public address announcer help them out.

So, be wary and be skeptical if you hear or read something today that sounds a little fishy.
