Tallahassee, FL - A man walked into a Tallahassee Subway and pointed a gun at the store owner. Minutes later he fired two shots.
Sean Rayborn has owned this Subway on North Monroe for 15 years.
Monday could have been his last.
He wouldn't talk on camera but says around 9 am, a man dressed in a black hoodie with gloves and a ski mask walked into the sandwich shop with his arms crossed. Not saying a word, the suspect then pointed a gun right at him.
Rayborn ran out the back door to this dry cleaners next door where April Ganey was working.
Ganey: "The guy from Subway came through banging on the door askin' us to call 911that he had just got robbed."
After they called 911, Rayborn actually chased after the suspect after he went down this road behind the store. That's when the suspect turned around and fired two shots.
Luckily Rayborn was not hit.
Ganey: "I was just in a panic to get back inside take cover and make sure I wasn't shot ya know? Cause he was probably like 50 yards away."
Tallahassee police brought in a k-9 unit and the Leon County Sheriff's Office added air support to search for the suspect.
Dave Northway, Tallahassee Police Department Public Information Officer: "We canvased the surrounding area; exactly how far they went I do not know the answer to that."
TPD cut down part of this tree to look for one of the bullets the suspect fired at Rayborn.
