Atlanta, GA - Authorities are searching for a 14-year-old girl abducted in the Atlanta area.
Clayton County Police say Ayvani Hope Perez was taken from a home by two armed intruders early Tuesday morning.
Police say the men broke in through the back door, demanded jewelry and money, shot the family dog and took the girl.
Clayton County Police, Phony Nguyen: "There was a little dog inside the house and it started barking so the intruder shot the dog and demanded money and jewelry from the mother at which time she didn't have any money and jewelry and she told them that. So instead they kidnapped the 14 year old girl."
Police say Ayvani is just under five-feet tall, weighs 93 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing blue and gray Star Wars pajama bottoms and a blue and grey superhero shirt.
Authorities say they believe the girl is in extreme danger. A nationwide Amber Alert has been issued.
