Tallahassee, FL --May 19, 2012--

May 19 is National Armed Forces Day. It's a day set side by President Harry Truman for citizens to honor America's military men and woman.

And Saturday 5-16-12, workers at the Old Navy in Tallahassee decided to honor those veterans through their 'Great American BBQ'. The BBQ helped raise money for the Wounded Warriors Foundation.

"I think for everything they do for us, everybody has got to do something to give back. It makes me feel proud to be a part of the United States and to know that those people are over there so I can be here safely today," says Tina Coombs, of Old Navy.

Coombs says they'll be accepting donations until June 15. Those can be made the Old Navy Store off of Governor's Square Boulevard.
