Hamilton County, FL - According to Hamilton County Sheriff J Harrell Reid, a student pilot was flying from Jacksonville to the Suwannee Airport when she had to make an emergency landing. 25-year-old Mao Borui crash landed in an open field off of U.S. 129 between Jasper, FL and Live Oak, FL.
Reid says the single engine Alarus ‘did a flip’ and the nose of the plane broke, but Borui was able to walk away from the craft unharmed. The accident happened around 10:30 Monday morning in Hamilton County, FL. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to what Sheriff Reid is calling a ‘crash landing’. They are now waiting on the Federal Aviation Administration to investigate. Traffic was not impacted by the landing.
According to FHP, there has been a plane crash in Jasper, FL.
The crash occurred at US-129 and SW 109th Drive.
