Funeral For Barwick Police Chief Brings Crowd [SLIDE SHOW]

Dixie, GA - A funeral for Barwick Police Chief Anthony Q. Barfield, Sr. was held at Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Dixie, Ga. Tuesday morning.

Dozens of family members, friends, and law enforcement officials came to pay their respects and say farewell to the 47-year-old who died of a heart attack while on duty April 9.

Funeral services for Barwick, Georgia's Chief of Police, Chief Anthony Q. Barfield, Sr., age 47, will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Simmon Hill Missionary Baptist Church located at 1880 Simmon Hill Road in Dixie, Georgia with Rev. J. B. Miller officiating.

Military burial rites will follow the services at the Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery located at 3945 North Valdosta Road in Valdosta, Georgia.

The Barfield Family's public viewing and visitation will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013 between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M. at the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home located at 301 East Green Street in Quitman, Georgia.

Barwick Police Chief Anthony Q. Barfield, Sr passed away April 9, 2013 while on duty after 20 years in law enforcement. Chief Barfield was appointed Chief of Barwick, GA in September of 2009. Chief Barfield was 47 years old.
