Tallahassee, FL - More than $8,600 dollars was raised for A Women's Place at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital through the 11th annual Chrome Divas of Tallahassee Breast Cancer Poker Run.
$7,238.50 was the total cash donated from registrations,
50/50 and raffle items (including $845.00 for a homemade quilt that was raffled off).
$1410.00 was received previously from BCPR sponsorships and donations.
Tallahassee, Florida-Hundreds of bikers wearing pink hit the road Sunday, raising money to fight breast cancer.
About 200 hundred bikes came out for the 11th annual Chrome Divas Poker Run.
The 110 mile ride started at Capital City Harley. The ride raises money for 'A Woman's Place' at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare to help fight disease locally.
"We've been very graciously supported by the business community and on a beautiful morning like today, you see that we're getting support from the biker community and we can't thank them enough for their support," says Jill Soderberg of the Chrome Divas.
This year's ride has raised more than $10,000 dollars.
