TCC culminated its Black History Month festivities with a gospel extravaganza Thursday night.
Several gospel choirs, groups, and quartets performed before hundreds of people in the student union ballroom. There were also performance dancers and tap dancers. Organizers say it was all about spreading gospel music throughout the community while celebrating black history month.
Co-organizer Angelic Jeffers says, "Gospel music was a way of pretty much helping everyone feel good about themselves and also expressing their spirituality in some way, shape, or form of fashion. That's why we're doing this gospel extravaganza."
Other black history month events at TCC included the unveiling of a calendar and youth day.
