ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Three National Football League Hall of Famers will headline a class of five honorees for the sixth annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge Legends Reception.

This year's reception is set for Aug. 30 at Disney's Contemporary Resort. The evening will honor NFL Hall members Elvin Bethea, formerly of North Carolina A&T State University; Harry Carson, who played at South Carolina State University; and John Stallworth, who played at Alabama A&M University.

Also being honored are sports media relations veteran Bill Hamilton (South Carolina State) and former athletic director and longtime volleyball coach Betty Austin (Alabama A&M University).

Established in 2009, the award pays tribute to those individuals whose achievements have impacted Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

The Legends Reception will precede the 10th annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge game on Aug. 31.
